PROYECTO ORQUESTA SINFONICA DE LA FLORIDA
OUR MEMBERS
Our students consist of diverse children and young adults from minority groups who have been selected for their performance and perseverance. Students acquire a full scholarship to be part of this movement inspired by "El Sistema". The members make up two groups: (1) Jóvenes Arcos: children and young adults who receive training to eventually enter the orchestra; (2) Orquesta Sinfonica Juvenil de Miami made up of multicultural students from minority groups.

OUR PROGRAMS
Proyecto Orquesta Sinfonica de la Florida (POSF) is divided in two (2) chapters that are formed based on students level of music performance. Curriculum, admissions and rehearsals requirements vary per chapter.
Jovenes Arcos
First Chapter
This chapter is conformed of children and young adults that are beginning in their music training. They receive training in conjunction with Orquesta Sinfonica Juvenil de Miami and participate in rehearsals and concerts.


Orquesta Sinfonica Juvenil de Miami
Second Chapter
Conform of children and young adults who are intermediate level in their music training. This Intermediate Level. This Chapter was dedicated in loving memory to Maestro Jhonny Mendoza's late brother, Carlos Andres Mendoza, Venezuelan Flutist. Orquesta Sinfonica Juvenil de Miami has been the heart of POSFL. Its members play advanced level in seasonal concerts to the general public that have contributed to the formation of multicultural musicians who represent the nations.
